I am pretty new to the MAC after more than 20 years using a PC. I have a mac pro with an external monitor and blue tooth keyboard and mouse. I would like to use the keyboard, track pad and internal display on my Mac pro for certain programs and the external monitor, keyboard and mouse for others. In other words, I want them to operate almost like I had two computers. Right now, the mouse pointer moves from one display to another and I have to drag it across to the opposite monitor. Any suggestions?

Hmm..interesting set-up. You have a Mac Pro? Did you mean a MacBook pro - that's the only way you can have a trackpad.

As for your set-up, I'll do some research on it, however, I'm not sure this is possible.
