Apple has sent out emails to iPhone customers informing them about the 2.2 Update and encouraging them to update today. The email also included instructions about how to update and highlights the new features included. With the iPhone, Apple seems to be taking a more direct marketing strategy by sending emails and text messages to users about updates. Apple released iPhone 2.2 at midnight with all the goodies that we expected. The update which weighs in at 246MB contains a few new features and some UI tweaks.
