Putting the Spotlight on Search in iPhone 3.0

One of the big features announced for iPhone 3.0 was a system-wide search similar to Spotlight on the Mac. While the iPhone version is pretty powerful for the device, it is still very lacking and leaves much to be desired. In the meantime, let's take a closer look at what Spotlight for the iPhone offers.

I am always excited when new titles from Gameloft are announced for the iPhone. Their games are generally well designed and are a lot of fun. Today, their first title for 2009, Oregon Trail appeared on the App Store and of course, we have all the juicy details for you! You will have a lot of fun playing the game on your iPhone, but you will also learn a lot about the historical journey. Really, a history lesson has never been this much fun!

App Review: SimCity

Of all games I have played so far on my iPhone, very few come close to providing a high replay value such as that found in EA's SimCity. After spending a few days playing with the app, I can confidently say that the game is simply addictive - this coming from someone who has never played SimCity on any other platform. The game has a superior design and plays really great on the iPhone.

Last week, for the fourth time since I got my first iPhone 3G, I sat down with my pals over at the local Apple Store and signed the forms to get my new iPhone. Yes, I have indeed changed my white iPhone 3G 5 times over the past year (mostly because of manufacturing defects). I only had my last iPhone for a couple hours before I realized that there was light shining from the sides of the screen during the night. After confirming that such problems are not a result of misuse, the Apple reps are quick to switch my old phone out for a new one. I respect that.
